Something about my refusal to abandon my delusions. Such as that my future will be beautiful. Such as that I can become better at whatever I want. Such as that I can do with my life whatever I want. Such as that I can always be just whoever I am. I don’t believe in the wet blanketing power of nominalisms such as ‘the real world.’ I don’t believe in surrendering phrases such as ‘adulting.’ I forever believe in the spirit of youth. I believe in the said ‘stupid’ dreams of every teenager who believes that their life will go exactly how they want it. Whether it’s to become a famous rich architect, or if it’s just to become a chill guy who somehow lives by the beach and gets laid every night–––I believe in that spirit everytime 10 times way over that of the guy who preaches to everyone that you can’t just do what you want in this world. Never become broken by money, greed, comparison, envy or prestige. Do well, seek better, and become more, but wherever you are, always be pleased. Love the grind, and appreciate nothingness, because even in the deadest night, you can be the lonely light that saw what others never knew; bring it to them in the light, for when it comes to greet you, if you do this right, it will take you from behind. So leave a trail of light. Let others come to know your path. Be your truth and live it long. For as long as life will let you. And when you find that broken voice, who tells you that you’ve come too far, march through his barrage–––he’s shooting blanks. And when the smoke clears, let him know in that you’re there: you were not wrong. You can do what you want in this world. In fact it is why we are here. People have always done this throughout our history and people always will. Be among the brave who do.
