A city keeps its ruins

The charm of our mortality
is not the meekness of us all
but the thew of our inability
to ever be let go.
Dismantled lifesource
The histories remain
Nostalgia of unknown
The past runs through love
until it is again.
A rustbox collection
epitomizing a name
decays in continuum:
Fixtures to never fade.
The promise of light
time-locked forever;
The everlasting odor
of hot, sugared grain.
