Just because he sports a criminal’s slickback for his hairstyle doesn’t mean he’s a bad guy- to the extent of being unforgivable. It just means he’s a guy who goes to prison- up to the height of not the worst guy in there, even. What really scares me in people is not when they’re less scared of punishment than others are, it’s when I don’t even know what they are. That’s what doesn’t scare me about myself, but I do know that it’s no man’s land to be in: to not be pigeonholed, figured out, defined, and patronized by at least everyone. That person- if he does what he wants he’s a monster. Horrible secrets increasingly abound for certain. He’s the person where the idea that hedonism is bad comes from. Sure lots of people are like this though. Tons of people strive constantly to appear this way. It’s nothing ironic to be true. And as for the criminal with the slickback, he just has a tenderfoot heart. A tremendous source of undirected passions. A weather vane at all times- susceptible to all passes upon him- no, not really at all. He wishes to always be faithful. Despite what might happen, he might even pray to God to help himself not do harm. But then again he must most certainly believe in innocence. And he loves himself too often in protection. So there’s that whole thing. But for his ignorance, he must have to pray to God for help with keeping it together. Because to him the world is small but the land is large. He believes that he can get away with things. That’s why he thinks he lets God, and himself, down. But he’s no villain to anyone but himself is true. People only almost do say otherwise. That’s even clean though!
