Thunder crashes
Yet light passes:
So immense, so ample;
Secure in shelter,
Yet I’ll shiver;
Artificial:
I’ll feel so fake yet,
I know I’m real.
Heat like hot that dries from moisture;
Clock ticks flick behind my walls
Tick like beats that rob my rhythm;
Lonesomeness that gifts with closure:
Words bounce up like rubber balls.
Cream blues whites that flash translucent
Looks like crystal candy.
Salt that dumps, that pours, but never sprinkles,
Like an unscrewed cap unknowing;
Spontaneous waterfalls unsupporting.
With my windows left open
The rainfall
Sounds just like a shower.
