Suture

Lost my scalpel to the needle

Knotted my nerves, I froze in the calm

All I know now is the suture

Fractured the past,

My past is now done.

Fused the issue into my layers

Searched for a match, rejected my own

Left in awe by my depressor

Tapered the lace,

Stapled my hole.

Pawned myself into the waiver

Saw only but pus, felt only but numb

Scrubbed my ego until sterile

To vessel it out,

To be absorbed.
