Transit

Where the faces are transient and come and go,

before you know, they zoom so

Fast, when loud sounds change, from the ocean

waves to the flames of rockets;

Where the road gets wide and speed signs push,

where the seashells crush, why

They won’t sing, when the sidewalks vanish. And

crossways look like they stretch

Forever.
