Complacency

GREAT — Scott!

The Gods might be crazy and,
if they are then I am blameless.
Vapidness. — This mast of nothingness!

Your feeble claws. Jejune exchanges,
and whack-a-mole appetite.
These shopworn ears, and tenderfoot eyes.

The gray world is not depressing, friend.
No. — In the gray world, it’s all the same.
Mundanity. Polarized mundanity.
Gired in obscurity.

That, my friend, is a life spent in a vacuum.
One not even knows they’re
better off dead. — They’ve yet to live!

Great Scott.

GREAT -- Scott!
