will it be for a they—
whoever they are?
If I’m found now an ass,
or whatever else bad,
is the determination for me
for punishment’s sake,
or is it for you
for the sake of your comfort?
Or does truth fall elsewhere,
somewhere in the gray,
somewhere I’ve missed?
Or am I just so far off base,
it’s not an issue of colors?

lol, I truly do believe this. I don’t think people are evil, that we need to be controlled, I’m not Machiavelli, but i do think we’re selfish. But yes, we are all entitled to our opinions, Erin.

Errin, I hope you believe whatever you wish. When it comes to sweeping life meaning philosophies, who’s to say. Personal freedom, to me, is paramount. which IMO goes hand in hand with selfish.
here’s a little story..yesterday,i was thinking people don’t care about anything but what they want right now.they can’t wait 30 seconds for someone to walk thru the boardwalk ..no manners like 90%
yeah it’s like mindfulness but not, like they’re in the moment but not. immediate gains and stuff. inconsiderate.

where it can seem sticky is how is that ensured for all if all are selfish, but that is where I think of concepts like Karma, something which i think is very practical not mystical. Karma is basically what comes around goes around, so it’s in one’s best interest to be good which is IMO selfish. But who knows.
